Frequently Asked Questions
What are the conference dates?
The conference will take place Thursday May 15 – Friday May 16.
Who is the conference for?
The conference is being organized by Science and Society specifically for the Bioethics / Tech Ethics and Science Policy program! This really is for our cohort’s professional development and is tailored to what would be best for us.
How much will the trip cost each student?
All scheduled conference activities will not require any student financial contribution. This includes all conference events, scheduled meals, and hotels in DC. Students will only be responsible for travel to and from DC, and we will do our best to organize transport among cohort members so this travel expenditure is not a barrier to anyone’s participation.
How will students be getting to and from DC?
Students are responsible for their own transport to and from DC. That being said, several members of the cohort have cars and can drive. Unless otherwise indicated, the current plan is for students to either drive themselves or carpool to get to and from DC.
What will the hotel room assignments look like in DC?
We have five student rooms split between 11 attendees, so there will be 1 rooms of 3 students and 4 rooms of 2 students.
