Allison Berke is Senior Director of Strategy at LexisNexis, and a research engineer at the Stanford Cyber Policy Center, where she was previously Executive Director of the Stanford Cyber Initiative. She studies the secure integration of cyber technologies and biotechnologies into society and policy. She has taught CS181 (Computers, Ethics, and Public Policy) and INTLPOL 320 (Comparative Technology Security Policy) at Stanford, chaired the Blockchain Protocol and Security Engineering conference, and writes on biosecurity and healthcare-focused cybersecurity. She received her PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and previously worked in biomedical- and technology-focused consulting with McKinsey & Co.
