Erica McFarland is the Senior Program Coordinator for Science & Society and is responsible for advising students in the MA program and undergraduate students in the certificate programs on program requirements, course selection, and capstone placements.
Before joining Science & Society, Erica earned her BS in Biology from Brescia University and her MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville. She started her career in higher education in Brescia University’s Admissions Office as Campus Visit Coordinator. After earning her MA, she went on to work as an Academic Advisor in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Northern Illinois University, primarily working with undergraduate students. She is a member of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising and works to stay informed about trends in higher education to better advise her students.
