The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has launched an exciting graduate-student leadership development program, Emerging Leaders in Science & Society (ELISS). Duke has a chance to join this exciting initiative, but to do so, we need your help!
Through ELISS at Duke, ELISS fellows will gain access to a 15-month, extracurricular program working in multi-disciplinary, multi-campus teams to help local and national stakeholders address complex issues at the intersection of science and society. This year, fellows are examining topics ranging from mental health to public spaces and food choices.
To bring ELISS to Duke we must show our demand for the program by being one of the top 3 institutions with the most signatures by graduate students by Dec. 15, 2014. Please sign this petition so that we will be invited to join the ELISS community.
