This virtual public workshop will facilitate a cross-disciplinary discussion about disinformation and identify new areas of research and new approaches to combat disinformation. The workshop will provide an overview of the disinformation landscape in social media; examine technologies and tools used to detect and counter disinformation; consider legal and non-regulatory approaches for addressing disinformation; and examine approaches to understand user susceptibility to disinformation and to counter such disinformation.
