This exhibition of drawings, models, and digital imagery explores visualizations of the complex shapes of proteins with a surprisingly strong influence from art and analogies. The materials are on loan from the Richardson Lab of Duke University, and the Duke Medical Center Archives. Dave and Jane Richardson have spent over 5 decades researching these molecular building blocks of life and finding ways to help both scientists and other people better understand and appreciate their structures. Exhibition on display in Chappell Family Gallery, Perkins Library, Duke University, from February 7-July 21, 2020.
Remarks in Holsti-Anderson Room (Rubenstein Library 153, next door to the Chappell Family Gallery) at 5:00 p.m. light refreshments will be served.
