This public event will feature a reveal and discussion of the genetic ancestry test results for Mark Anthony Neal, AAAS Professor at Duke. African Ancestry, Inc. performed the genetic testing, and Rick Kittles (Co-Founder and Scientific Director of African Ancestry, Inc., Professor, University of Arizona) will present and explain the results. Alondra Nelson (Professor of Sociology, Columbia University), will contextualize the results within social and cultural frameworks.
