Event Details
The AI policy landscape has changed dramatically since we last met in late October. On October 30th, President Biden issued an Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. That same week, the G7 agreed on an 11-point voluntary code of conduct for companies developing advanced artificial intelligence systems. Both landmark actions aim to shape how the U.S. and collaborating countries govern AI through the technology’s privacy and security risks. Professor Tiedrich will unpack some of the key developments, including the new US AI Executive Order and the outcomes for the UK AI Safety Summit. Professor Tiedrich will be presenting to the OECD on November 8th, and will provide a report from these meetings as well.
Lunch will be served. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the discussion.
