Event Details

The rise in migrant deaths at the US-Mexico border has created a humanitarian crisis. Deceased migrants have been buried as “unknown” without proper analyses or DNA collection, leaving no hope of identification. Migrants’ families struggle to report missing persons cases. Join us for a panel discussion on the identification of missing migrants in the U.S.

Guest Panelists:

  • Kate Spradley, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, Texas State University
  • Hannah Smith, WOLA Program Officer, Washington Office on Latin America
  • Seth A Faith, PhD, Assistant Professor, The Forensic Sciences Institute and Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences, NC State University
