Featuring Misha Angrist, PhD, MFA and Kevin Smith, JD, MLS
Open access publishing is barely fifteen years old, but its impact can hardly be overstated. The science publishing landscape has changed seismically because of it, and we aren’t done yet. In this roundtable we will discuss the emergence of OA and its consequences, both intended and unintended. We will consider the meaning of the Public Library of Science and its many imitators, and we will make bold and foolish predictions about the future.
Join Misha Angrist, Senior Fellow in Science & Society and Associate Professor of the Practice at SSRI, and Kevin Smith, Director of the Office of Copyright and Scholarly Communication at Duke for this roundtable.
