Tift Merritt, Grammy-nominated artist and artist-in-residence at Duke, explores the ways the music economy is a canary in the coal mine for patterns of labor erasure and power consolidation in the age of AI, while affirming the importance and necessity of the human creative process and voice in interrupting those patterns and making meaningful innovation.
