Travis Simmons is the Marketing Assistant for the Duke Initiative for Science & Society and is responsible for assisting with marketing and public relations.

Travis “Skitz” Simmons is a creative marketer and NC community leader passionate about connecting people and telling stories that resonate. As a Marketing Director of Bullpin NC, an organization in North Carolina’s street dance community, Travis has organized cyphers, tournaments, performances and have even collaborated with organizations like Red Bull  to celebrate Hip Hop culture and bring people together. His current job with Duke’s Initiative for Science & Society underneath Nita Farahany highlights his ability to blend creativity with strategy—whether it’s creating campaigns, managing social platforms, or creating content that inspires action.

When Travis is not dancing or marketing, he explores new technologies to help him develop innovative projects that connects people and inspire.
