Amy Volpe is Staff Assistant for Science & Society and is responsible for managing various clerical and administrative tasks to maintain efficiency across Science & Society’s programs and operations. Amy supports department finances, event programming, onboarding, and day-to-day office administration.

Before joining Science & Society, Amy managed a fashion-forward clothing line in Aspen, Colorado. She then worked in sales for GE Energy in Denver and as a Six Sigma Black Belt in Shanghai and Cleveland before returning to North Carolina to raise a family. Amy has a BA in Political Science with a focus on Marxist-Leninist Theory from UNC-Chapel Hill, and an MBA from the University of Wyoming.
