This seminar will focus on Dr. Squire Booker’s work and thoughts on diversity in science, and will include time for audience questions.
Squire Booker is an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a Professor of Chemistry and of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State, where he studies the enzymology of antibiotic biosynthesis and resistance. Dr. Booker is also active in promoting diversity and inclusion in the academic biosciences, and has served as the chair of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology’s national Minority Affairs Committee.
