Advocacy 101

Join UNC’s Science Policy Advocacy Group for an afternoon of interactive learning from experts in political action. The program will feature a keynote speech from Tobin Smith, the Vice President for Policy at the American Association of Universities and co-author of Beyond Sputnik. There will also be a panel discussion with representatives of both the federal and state levels of government followed by breakout sessions where you will get the opportunity to work in small groups to gain experience with how to communicate with elected officials. This event is a great opportunity to interact with prominent members of the campus and government communities and gain professional skills. We hope to see you there!
