There is a lot of evidence which suggests that diverse teams produce better results. It is the responsibility of every member of a research team, not just the team leader or PI, to build a welcoming environment for individuals from all backgrounds. To be successful, trainees must learn to appreciate and value the ideas, experiences, and perspectives of everyone on the team. These skills will help you to build and lead successful teams as you advance in their careers, no matter which stage you’re currently in.
In this workshop trainees will learn about three common challenges that individuals working in diverse teams may face and identify practical strategies for recognizing and mitigating challenges to create more inclusive research groups.
Please RSVP by December 10th.
