Duke Law professor and Wilson Center Director Brandon Garrett was appointed last year as independent monitor for a landmark bail reform settlement in Texas that could become a national model for cash bail reform. He and deputy monitor Sandra Guerra Thompson, professor of law and director of the Criminal Justice Institute at the University of Houston Law Center, will discuss their work and the first two reports to the court. This event will also feature a Q&A.
